What's C.A.I.?

If you've maxed out your 401k (or similar plan) and IRA, here are some ideas:

I think it's just a poor choice of words. He probably means saving more than the average Joe, who saves next to nothing.

They're definitely taking the wrong Path.

Agreed!!!

Well he is married to SJP.

Ugh. :(

Thank you sir.

Brilliant!

Sounds more impressive than saying 12 terabytes, I guess, but it isn't anything special today.

Nah, think I'll pass this time. I bought the glowing back mod for my iPhone and it wasn't worth the money (actually broke something during the installation process, and the phone hasn't worked quite right after the install): [gizmodo.com]

That's fine, but there's no need to come here and force your opinions on those who don't feel the same way you do.

They did sell the original iPhone at twice the price when it first came out, and it sold just fine. Now Apple sells unlocked iPhones for several times the contract price, but I don't think it's a huge seller. I daresay that the economy was better in the 90s (I certainly don't recall such a high level of unemployment and foreclosures back then), and computers were expensive—which is why not every student had one, particularly in public schools. Computers are certainly less

How would kids in one family be able to share a single iPad if they need to bring their iTextBook to class? Or do homework after class? Make them take turns using it to read their textbooks? How practical would that be?

Maybe in your school. In the public schools I attended we had computer labs, and those who didn't use them utilized their family computers at home. Very few students had their *own* computers. So $2000 for a family is very different than $2000 for one kid.

Sucks but I'm afraid of that reality. Textbook publishers know they have a stranglehold on schools and students. It's not like you can easily switch textbooks if you don't like the price. I'm glad I'm done with school. Education is ridiculously priced nowadays.
