@dotyoureyes: This app isn't made by Google, and Google may shut off access to it (like they've done with other third party Google Voice apps).

@Sachleen Sandhu: I'm curious as well. I haven't updated my 3GS to iOS 4 yet.

@astrocramp: Actually it seems pretty useful in offline mode thanks to caching. But yeah, if you're spending a lot of time offline, this may not be the device for you.

@twothefutureandbeyond: Um, it still works on wifi, and if you have a smartphone that supports tethering, you can still use this without an additional data plan.

@trois: Good luck! I was going to apply for it, but decided not to click the submit button at the last minute. I am a geeky but more typical end computer user, and I don't do a lot of hard core developer-related tasks.

@TomXP411: I believe this is what conjunction view is. It shows you the lane and an overview of the highway overpasses and ramps, I think.

@Stem_Sell: Thanks. It works fine if you click on it. Gawker's comment system tries to resize uploaded images and it looks wonky sometimes, especially with GIFs.

@TomXP411: Very nice! I don't think there are any iPhone offline GPS apps for that cheap.

@sigh-: That's just wrong, lol. Poor Enya.

@Stem_Sell: What an awesome gif! :) Where did you find it?

I think Batman's reaction is more apt to be like this.

I guess rich douchebags can use it to pad something else. :P

@Chinedu Opara: Because it's one less device to carry around? I only take my GPS if I'm going somewhere that won't have a data connection. Otherwise, my phone suffices.

That would never work in most offices because the work space is more like this. :(

It's gotta cause discomfort when he sleeps, what a crazy ass thing to do.
