All I want is playable JFK. Give me that, and I’ll buy Blops 4 today.

The idea about a lonely universe willing to endanger itself and another reality just to not be alone actually reminds me a bit about one of Diane Duane’s Star Trek novels, The Wounded Sky.

Kara Danvers wears glasses. Supergirl doesn’t!

At least in TOR you got the Light Side/Dark Side points for your vote regardless of what the majority decision was. (And maybe a bonus if your choice won? It’s been a while.)

Hopefully some third-party games. I loved, loved, LOVED those old Rennovation games back in the day - Thunder Force 3, Gain Ground (a perennial favorite to 2p with my brother), Final Zone (still one the games I’m proudest of beating). Plus stuff like Bimini Run, X-Men 2: Clone Wars, etc.

Seems to me an easy fix would have been to transplant the city that most of the film’s set in to another country, and have the squad be sent in to deal with some vague WMD threat. Maybe it’s an allied nation, maybe it’s, like, China or something that the US can’t afford to anger - either way, that’s why the Suicide

Would you be cringing equally if the line was, “So I met your husband yesterday”?

Ah yes. I too am deeply concerned with historical accuracy in my movies about wizards and magic animals and way too many people with alliterative names.

I haven’t seen Happy Death Day, so I don’t know how well that bodes, but My Best Friend’s Exorcism is a good book, so I’m intrigued. I think I liked Horrorstor a little better better, though. It seemed more... focused?

My brother is fond of pointing out that of all the Pokémon trainers shown in the carton, Jessie and James are actually the best - Ash can’t even get friggin’ Charmander to obey him and James’s Victreebell loves him SO MUCH that it can actually interfere with their evil plans. And Jessie’s Arbok loves her deeply too.

Catching up on the Assassin’s Creed series - I’m 95% done with Rogue, got Unity queued up (I know, but I’m a completionist, and I liked what I played of it when it came out well enough).

Okay, I know TECHNICALLY the Warriors of Darkness were actually trying to force their homeworld to be destroyed before the Light could consume it forever, but potato, potahto.

Of the two MMOs I really got into, I miss my friends from WoW the most, but it’s FFXIV’s world and story that I miss. Maybe it’s time to figure out a way to have time for an MMO again....

AIs that run on magnetic tape storage medium, no less.

You’re gonna like the way you look.

I think you just answered your own question: Make it a fun movie and it’ll appeal to people.

I’m catching back up with the AC series - just finishing up a few loose ends in Rogue - are these events and battles sticking around, or will I not get the chance to shoot a cyclops to death by the time I get to Odyssey?

They only did The Brain here in STL, and it was at the same time as, and literally right next door to, Elton John’s farewell concert. Traffic was a nightmare. Show was great though, or at least it was when we got in our seat forty minutes late.

Wait, you’re telling me Valve ignored an issue until it started to threaten some tiny fraction of their revenue, issued a statement full of meaningless platitudes that sounded nice, and then completely refused to actually DO anything?

Last Christmas, I ordered a blanket ladder for my sister-in-law, and the thing came packed diagonally in an enormous cardboard box - no packing material, just a ladder made out of what I’m assured was reclaimed barn wood with no bracing or anything actually keep it safe except sheets of foam wrapped around it.
