Mine went from 1gen SOHC to 2gen DOHC 2.ol. Of the other 3 Neons in the family, one received a 750hp built 2.o turbo (trapping 10.5 @ 150mph) while another received a Sebring 2.4 but was rebuilt with SRT internals. The last one in the family was a honest and real SRT-4.

Uh, there was an SRT-4 ACR in 2005, the same year they made a front LSD standard. I still want to find a clean one and remember them being everywhere but all of the sudden they all vanished, I see maybe 2 a year around Chicago but only on the nicest summer days.

Yeah same here, although I’m the 2nd owner. I daily my 380whp S3 SRT4. It refuses to die. When it does, I’ll be very very sad. Super fun cheap easy to work on car, good MPGs to boot.
