Houston’s traffic is so overrated. As long as isn’t not rush hour you’re fine. On the weekends know where the construction is.

Absolutely. My mother was in the radio business so we’ve lived all over the country.

If I want to see snow, I’ll take a vacation.

Rice University disagrees with you. We also have the most refugees than any other US City.

That’s not what the fucking BILLION east coasters that moved here say.

The freeways aren’t always congested. LA’s freeways are always congested. Go spend some time in LA, Houston’s traffic is a fucking breeze compared to LA.

Houston is the most ethnically diverse major metropolitan areal. Per Rice University we passed New York back in 2010.

Hey, I’m not the only one that thinks so. Our population is growing like crazy. We’re the most ethnically diverse major metropolitan area and we have the most refugees of any US City.

It’s the most diverse major metropolitan area per Rice University (you posted one where LA was #1, and another where LA was #18...cool). It’s also the US city with the most refugees.

Hockey? Never heard of her.

I haven’t seen one by UH (one of the most diverse universities in the US). I know Rice did a study a few years back.

We’re commenters on a Gawker site talking about “best cities”. If we go back and forth are you going to change your mind?

According to some of the replies, New York is violence free, the greenest city in america, best weather and skyscrapers are “beautiful”.

That’s cool.

There is tons to do here. Food, museums, theater, amusement parks, beaches, all major sports. Hell, we had the Final Four/NCAA Championship, and we’ll have the Super Bowl next year. And I don’t really care how “disappointing” it is to visit, because I live here in my awesome house, with my awesome car living on my

I don’t own guns, sorry.

Our public transportation system is actually not bad. The light rail has expanded and our bus system rocks. If you don’t want to own a car in Houston, you can live in the loop and get away with it.

Republicans? We had the first openly homosexual female mayor in the US.

If you get a nice bed and breakfast, and book one of those vineyard shuttles, HELL YES!
