Apparently they blew a bunch of money licensing "Wild Horses" for Beth's big emotional catharsis episode late in the season.
How many seasons did Firefly get in your dimension?
Most of what bothered me about the show before was the implausibility of the various goings-on. People told me I was watching it the wrong way, and should take it more like a dark fairytale about the devil, but I didn't feel the show was fully earning that.
A) I'm a fan of the characters and most of the previous stories, so I felt obligated
B) I already liked Mads based on Valhalla Rising
C) the show had enough great stuff in it to balance out the stuff that bothered me so much
D) Person of Interest was between seasons
I basically hatewatched my way through the first two seasons. But this one has really grown on me.
Now I'm imagining Patrick Warburton as Dolarhyde.
I've been a Hannibal complainer since the start, but I watched this episode twice in a row.
I loved how he broke the news to Jimmy at the end of Jimmy's own podcast. Tough Talkerman.
The sequence where he's trying to figure out where the presence is and attempts to look inside the mirror was terrific. Armitage has done an incredible job so far of communicating exactly what's going on in his head just using his physicality.
It was one of those things that could easily have ended up being silly in lesser hands, but it worked perfectly here.
Benedict Cumberbatch.
They'd just take that last small step to a 100%-singing format.
The cast made me want to watch it; the first episode had the opposite effect.
Everything reeks of jargon, yet somehow in academia it's emblematic of elitism and phoniness?
Every time I see that fucking photo again, I think, "Gawker, for all your many faults, you used to be something."
