God help me I’m about to say something kind of nice about Lonzo/The goddamn Lakers.

This guy apparently wants Democrats to have the positions of Republicans, so that they can be elected with a (D) next to their name and make it appear as though the party is somehow winning.

If you didn’t notice, all of the Democratic moves to the right and pushes for cautious and “moderate” solutions led to a) no immigration reform b) no DREAM Act c) a DACA order which is now in tatters with a very real possibility that there will be no long-term fix and d) a right wing mob that despite all of this STILL

Damn... I would not hire you.

Barbara Lee

Disappointing but not incredibly surprising, considering she’s a cop. She’s also started to walk back most of her more leftwards positions — all of a sudden she’s supporting “access” to healthcare instead of single-payer — and delivering off-the-record speeches at AIPAC where she recounts the joys of collecting money

As an Ohioan, I can attest that we all love ICE, the ruthless paramilitary force that is only a few years old. Our state went red in 2016, meaning we all love government thugs and fly KKK banners. Good post!

Thanks- obviously I need to see this movie again immediately

It’s okay to hope that, no matter what happens here, more states, counties, cities, etc. write these kinds of laws and make them enforceable, right? Because the other option, just, you know, not handing public money over to a private business for something that doesn’t necessarily help the public seems to be near

It varies by type of claim (and sometimes by party), but in most cases courts have jurisdiction to consider and enter injunctive relief to prevent threatened conduct if the likely injury is sufficiently certain/concrete/other magic legal words that vary by state. Generally, the potentially-injured party has standing

I sure don’t protest where Iwork, what gives these guys the right to do this without being fired???”

I know I am preaching to the choir, but American soldiers don’t fight for our freedoms. They fight so our government can maintain an economic stranglehold on the planet.

I can’t fathom why MLS is supporting this move unless they believe Crew fans are suddenly going to shift allegiance to FC Cincinnati. They are probably going to lose both fan bases.

I wish each player who knelt would hold up a picture of someone shot by a police officer to shine the spotlight where it should shine. This is not a cause that the players’ union would take on for positive PR reasons but at the very least I feel like it would shut up SO many butthurt white football fans. I live smack

Completely agree 100%. He is basically saying that “Propaganda Works” in saying that “if enough people believe FAKE NEWS, then it’s not fake anymore...” Very depressing that someone could say that out loud.

Overall, I think he was trying to make a point, and his message became what kneeling was all about. From that standpoint, that is the way the public is interpreting it. So I think that’s really incumbent upon us to adopt that. That’s how, I think, the country now is interpreting the kneeling issue.

We’re headed to a point where this is going to be a huge competitive advantage for California teams. The Chiefs already got absolutely fleeced by the Rams because Clark Hunt’s silver spoon ass couldn’t stand the heat of a bunch of backwoods types who were angry about Marcus Peters.

Of course they’ll sign anyone. I mean, if there had been some unsigned protestor who was a somewhat similar QB, stylistically speaking, do you honestly believe the Texans wouldn’t have snapped him up when Deshaun Watson went down, and would’ve instead opted to let a somewhat promising season go down the tubes? Well
