Absolutely underlines the theory that when someone is full of shit and a jerk, when they act like they are the most humble, sweetest and caring person it comes off as HOLLOW. I never thought he was a genuine person for one second. It always seemed like a bad act.

That’s a letter I could’ve written back in ‘92... But then I’m a special level of super-autistic which became readily apparent once they figured out I wasn’t ‘mentally retarded’, I just needed to be pumped full of amphetamines in order to function at all. 😏 But yeah, 24/7 free access to all human knowledge in the

It’s a truly awful signature though, which is the part that made me bust out laughing. The letter itself is not really convincing at all, but it’s at least coherent and logical, then boom, three inch tall signature written with her left foot.

Yeah, it was quite funny. I especially enjoyed the part about how there’d be a follow-up letter to assure her it’s really not a joke. Maybe the only thing the kid got wrong was how apologetic the Academy would be, but I’ll give them a pass since they’re young and Canadian.

That’s really well written for an eleven year old, but kids today are way smarter than I was.

Holy shit, I can’t believe I’m seeing the Rule Against Perpetuities used in real life, and reported on in a Kotaku article no less! It was the bane of many a first-year property law student and has been abolished or replaced with something slightly less nonsensical in many jurisdictions. Nice to see it’s alive and

Your two sides are a hellishly dystopian mega corporation, or literally the fourth reich. Nazis are always the worst person(s) in the room.

I thought she recanted and there was video evidence proving his innocence?

This is the year when everyone has to write about how much superhero movies suck because, like, Ant Man did better opening weekend box office than the past 2 Ant Man movies so that means that the superhero movie trend is totally over.

Jesus Christ the vitriol from the writer here is insane. I saw the thing. This was exactly average. You people are acting like it’s the Gigli of Superhero movies.

What is it with this site being on this movie’s balls of late?

That would actually be... a great idea.

As a back-door pilot for a Gideon the Ninth series it had its moments, but “tonally uneven” is about the most generous description I could give to it, and a lot of it was just flat out bad.

I think most of the complaints I’ve seen about him have been about his character doesn’t resemble his comics counterpart. I disagree with that argument fundamentally on merits, but also I don’t know anything about the comics, so I’ve also quite enjoyed this Foggy.

I enjoyed Foggy and don’t *at all* get the hate people have for him. I mean... maybe the “satellite guy/nice guy” thing he had with Karen? I dunno, though. Unlike a lot of dude characters in that position he seemed to move on quickly and with little fuss. Even got together with that vaguely evil blonde lawyer IIRC.

not sure what your problem is with an actor having preferences about what they like to watch. do you need a nap? are you just that special kind of dumbfuck that seems like they’ll die if they don’t complain out loud for others to hear every five minutes like some kind of embarrassing negativity-fueled shark?

It is not eternity that would get boring, and this episode doesn’t claim that. It is eternity without the possibility of an end that would get boring. It’s not natural. There becomes no point to anything and all you end up doing forever is instantly gratifying yourself.

I’m always seeing this idea that eternity would get boring, and I just don’t get it. As long as human civilization keeps rolling, there’s always new material for the book club. There’s always a new Netflix series to binge. There’s always new film and music and videogames; always an ever-evolving marketplace of ideas;
