Plot Twist: he’ll be from China, and he’ll be patient Zero.

There'll be that one guy who cosplays as the virus.

If a headline doesn’t cause some form of panic then it isn’t a good headline.

I think there’s some degree of hysteria that’s actually productive for containing an epidemic -hell, we could probably prevent a few flu deaths here and there if more people took regular flu more seriously - but it’s way too easy to go past that.

Wouldnt be surprised if the coronavirus has an impact on more convention’s? Wonder how this going to impact e3 & comic con?

This one reeks of convenient excuse to get out of these conventions...

Just a reminder that an estimated 14,000 people have died of flu this season

Uh...what? The original was not “cartoony”. It was anime.

Yeah this isn’t cheating but it is 100% a bad rule-set first infraction should have had an actual penalty otherwise other teams are silly not to take the warning.

But that is a rules issue not an issue with how these guys used the rules as given. They knew they had a warning and took it just like a soccer player might take a yellow card to prevent a player from getting away on a promising run. Also your analogy is a bit off because in the situations you are describing you are

Seems like a non-issue to me. It is very much like intentionally fouling in other sports. They knew they had a warning to give and landed just a bit outside the zone.

Respectfully, barf.

That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. If that was the case how do you explain This Is Us? Nobody is trying to censor anything touchy feely.  Men are the ones who are much more open about how much they love sex.

I literally never said the word “attack” so I have no idea to what you’re referring.

I’m sorry that’s the only thing you gleaned from the multiple responses I framed. Cheers!

That’s not it at all - genuinely. My point is that I think we need to be really careful about how we broach these conversations and more importantly call people out when their intentions are malicious. I don’t think that’s the case here (neither does Paul).

The weight of the conversation gets diluted if the perception

Cool

Oh no - not at all. I absolutely care, but believe that the intent (when using the word) matters more than anything and I don’t believe the intent here is malicious (Paul doesn’t seem to think so either).

I think a better opportunity to have this conversation is when the intent is overtly malicious.  I have no qualms

I guess we disagree, and that’s ok.

I mean, you’re entitled to your opinion but to suggest the “Dude’s just talkin’ about a video game name” when it’s pretty clear the conversation Paul is trying to start is so much larger than that is pretty stupid - respectfully.
