I think people don’t like the “checklist” version of this, where one of the most diverse games in recent memory is criticized for missing one group. The characters added to the game should be those who the developers feel the most inspiration to make, not the ones that add the most diversity.

I don’t disagree that accessibility is a great thing to have in games. I just don’t believe that developers should be lampooned for creating a specific, crafted, difficult experience, if they’re not interested in capturing a wide audience. Not every game has to appeal to everyone.

There are so many games out there, Joshua. This one just isn’t for you, and that’s okay. It doesn’t need to bend over backwards with an easy mode.
Mayhem is not good for competition. The items are based on randomization and chance, which are things you try to minimize and eliminate in a competitive setting. We are not trying to see who is better at using items, we want to see who is better at using their characters, and at reading their opponent.
