This doesn't make sense to me. Google is trying to address fragmentation with Gingerbread by pulling functionality/apps out of stock Android. Forking Android with 3.0 means that either a) apps stagnate under 2.1/2.2 or b) fragmentation has been fixed in 2.2....

@PhineasJW: I would hope that G1 early adopters would have enough sense to not jump the gun with so many rumors circling.

If I had $25 I would buy one of these shirts. I loved reading about the story months ago and love hearing about it still.

@RockyRan: They would've been banned from e3 if Apple was there.

Hey, thanks for posting about Namibia. I once lived there.

@Log1c: I couldn't find an image of a shirt I saw once "MIT: The Georgia Tech of the North"

@Citizen Kang: As a Georgia Tech grad I disagree with your designation of "best." But, it is a great school.

@Icemael: But you'll probably lose it after your free 3 months is up.

Pacific Tech (Real Genius) is actually Cal Tech

@dfxdeimos: I've been thinking that Chrome OS is like a return to mainframe computers.

@CurisosityAteMyCat: It's basically the Chrome browser as the desktop, so no ads. The Chrome OS can only be purchased pre-installed on a computer, but there is a free version called Chromium OS.

@Lord_Data: Wouldn't that violate most software terms of usage?

@Nick Denton: I think Apple will probably integrate the Facetime API into future versions of iChat. When that happens you could video chat between your laptop and and iPhone. Theoretically, the Facetime API could be integrated into Android apps allowing for iPhone to Android or iChat to Android calls too.
