@Nick Denton: I think Apple will probably integrate the Facetime API into future versions of iChat. When that happens you could video chat between your laptop and and iPhone. Theoretically, the Facetime API could be integrated into Android apps allowing for iPhone to Android or iChat to Android calls too.

@theweakend: That's what I was thinking. And for the 5+ years that I've had a video option on my phone I've used it probably 4 times. Video is a pretty much useless feature for me.
