That’s a huge over simplification. They can, and do keep all their patents in an Irish subsidiary and then they pay that subsidiary licensing fees from their profits else where. There by circumventing american, and other tax laws.

Patent Troll.

But even valid patents on rapidly-changing technology which are infringed upon take so long to adjudicate that by the time a ruling is finalized the product is no longer produced. There must be a balance that protects IP without allowing patents on nonsense.

She looks really sharp in that first picture. I’m surprised that her boss had a problem with that.

I have to wear polyester wool uniform about 75% of my life, so for ONE WEEK I was going to a seminar and I didn’t have to, but I also needed new clothing due to that whole uniform wearing thing. I figured if I didn’t have to wear synthetic fibers, I wasn’t going to. Especially since this was in Potomac Virginia.

They stick around long enough and are good enough at the job they end up managing that whoever overseeing things decides it’s “time they were rewarded” with a manager position, regardless of any actual managerial or people skills they may have.

What blows me away — in addition to all the other reasons outlined by Alison Green — is that the manager never offers to come in early and cover for her. When I was a manager, I would stay late with employees to help them finish earlier and get out of the office. Or I’d come in early to help them if they needed it.

You’ve been very lucky with your bosses if this doesn’t ring true to you.

What real man disses on a Blazer??! You are very wise. Any dude driving a Smart Car is definitely a moron.

My biggest pet peeve is stupidly low showerheads. I’m only 5'8", but I had one in grad school where the showerhead was like at my eye level. I had to bend over backwards every time I wanted to wash my hair (i.e., every day).

There are movies you should own a physical copy of. So as to reeducate the masses after the apocalypse. Wrath of Khan is such a one. Serenity is another.

FWIW, the leaving Netflix lists are not nearly as reliable as the arriving lists. It just means that, as far as anyone knows, the contracts are up. If Firefly is still there, I’d be surprised to see Serenity gone.

Not Serenity.....Nooooooooooooooooooo!

If the lawyers didn’t represent him (they didn’t), then it would have been strange if they brought it up at all. It’s not their point to make: They want to spread the love, so to speak, and spread as much liability around as possible to reduce how much they would be on the hook for. Saying he wasn’t involved would be h

That’s the way things are supposed to work, but no, they don’t always work that way. I personally once got “served” with a lawsuit (over a car accident) at an address I hadn’t lived at in 6 years. Fortunately, they also notified my insurer, or I would never have heard of the lawsuit and would probably have had a

There are a bunch of types of service that are allowed besides personal service, but generally, if someone is named as an individual, that individual has to be served.

This is wrong.
