Instead of opening the field for actors of any race to compete for any role in a color-blind manner,

I wonder how many people in the "Bring Clarkson Back" camp also get outraged when different celebrities avoid punishment for their crimes. Clarkson (allegedly) committed a violent offense that any of us would do time in prison for; why should he get a free pass?
Any reason you don't set up your own GoFundMe or similar? I mean, I was raised proud (but hungry) so I don't think I'd have the guts to set one up myself, but I also think that means I can't hate on other people who do.
Could it be because he's raising the money for an offer that was extended to him, as opposed to some self-indulgent creation of his own?
This advice is shit. Research has shown the longer you engage people in contentious debates the more entrenched their positions become. The best way to change people's minds is to say your peace as clearly and eloquently as possible and then be done with the topic. If you're right, and the person is at all receptive…
The detrimental thing about working matches and scripted dialog is that it leads WWE to assume that since they control the athletes the't hay control everything. But they don't control the fans.
Eagles legend Chuck Bednarik passed away recently, so I expect/hope that if you ask this question again next year, PA will feature his name instead.
A couple more things:
Paul McCartney is the worst Beatle, and I say that in full knowledge of how talentless Ringo Starr actually is (Interviewer: "Is Ringo the best drummer in the world?" John: "Ringo isn't even the best drummer in the Beatles."). The only thing saving us from the scenario described is that he's actually too fucking…
I would like to see some comparison numbers to contextualize this. What do veteran starting RBs actually do for a 40 yard dash? Do Pro Bowl running backs continue to be able to run sub-4.6 throughout their careers? If not, these numbers don't mean much.
This is puzzling to me. I cop to doing this sometimes, mostly in regards to relationship-related problems, but it's mostly due to the insistence of female friends that, when so-and-so says she feels such-and-such, and now I never know what the right thing to do is.
"The tablet market has kind of crashed. Or at least, growth has declined. And as a start-up, high-growth markets are really important." - Jason Citron, founder of Hammer & Chisel, talking about why mobile game startups are facing a more difficult market.
My sample size is a bit biased, but I know way more people who've gotten concussions playing soccer than football. And because substitutions are precious commodities, soccer teams are much more likely to keep a potentially concussed in unless he's really unable to play, seriously risking aggravation.
I have rather mixed feelings about this penchant for Tyler Perry bashing. On the one hand, most of his movies are, in fact, objectively terrible and unsubtly preachy. On the other hand, he is probably the most successful independent filmmaker of our era, possibly of all time. While I don't particularly care for the…
It's not about the sweatpants. It's about what the sweatpants represent.
I keep hoping that I'm not the only pathetic neckbeard out there that doesn't blame the rest of the world for his failings, and that most of us are pretty reasonable if disappointing people, but the Internet keeps proving me wrong.
I think the point is that men should maybe consider why they need to have an opinion on this at all. If the women of the world convene a feminist synod to answer this question, fail to reach a conclusion, and apply to a man to settle the debate once and for all, then maybe trying to decide what's right is…
I think pretty much every English player wishes on some level he was playing in League 1 or 2, where everything is more rough-and-tumble and nobody cares about you enough for there to be a scandal if you fight, cheat on your spouse, or get publicly intoxicated - even if it's while you're supposed to be playing.
I think the NBA is actually kind of sad. There really isn't enough talent (not to mention fans) to fill 30 pro-quality teams, so - tanking or not - there are too many teams that just don't have access to the talent they need to be competitive.
If an undetected asteroid fell from space and flattened FIFA headquarters while all its employees were at a meeting, how big would the celebrations be?
