In all seriousness, how do people believe that they can force a country (or another person) to pay for something that you chose to build? That would be like me building a new house and then forcing my neighbors to pay my mortgage because they should believe having me in their neighborhood makes their property value go

I hate that the lesson the world is giving our young men (and young women) is that it’s ok to rape someone if you have a future that may be ruined by jail or by being considered a sex offender. Punishment should be equal no matter how much potential the perpetrator had prior to their crime.
