Much like Beauty & the Beast, I’m not sure how The Little Mermaid can ever be a positive message to young girls.

In the sequel, Bernie’s corpse can only move around when it hears calypso music. Also, there’s a great moment when Calypso Bernie is underwater and gets shot through the head with a speargun. His body really starts to deteriorate in the second film.

So, this triggered me. I worked at a mall movie theater the summer Mannequin came out. I saw the first 10 minutes and last 10 minutes of this movie literally hundreds of times.  The memory almost left my mind, but here we are.  Its back.  With a vengeance. 

Came here for this, was not disappointed. Way better than Dangerous Liaisons

Amazing. After reading your tandem review, I think you both most definitely need to watch Weekend at Bernie’s II, because it’s even more insane.

Andrew McCarthy seems like an ok guy, but you have to seriously question your agent’s cocaine use when he pitches you this and Mannequin. Although the Mesach Taylor/Kim Cattrall/Starship trifecta is still hard to pass up.

I feel personally attacked by this. Weekend at Bernie’s is a classic of American cinema.

Precisely. While nobody can deny that affluent white lgbt people may not share ALL the struggles that poor/poc lgbt people do, people who hate lgbt people hate all of them.
