I'd buy a Rift but not this. I'm not looking to physically run around a map. The experience I think most people want does not include slipping on a round pad.

Next up: Transporting will let you go anywhere. Can we stop you?

Great article - thanks for the link :)

I think engineering schooling needs more 'tinkering'. Some of the co-op kids we've had are really lacking in any kind of hands-on skill. I can understand that for software engineering but if you're into electrical or mechanical engineering, you should really not be afraid to get your hands dirty.

I've got that same toy and did exactly the same thing. I tried quite a long time to re-assemble it but just couldn't get the gearing right. I think it's still in my mother attic :-P

My daughter likes her iPhone too! She likes the tiny little screen :)

Is the combat really this wonky? The axe swinging is just a fiasco :/

No one wants cross-balls.

There are enough issues printing onto a flat surface let alone something that needs to be scanned or modeled and then all the G code translated. It's a neat demo but really nothing more except for very specific applications.

Please stop making sense and bitch about 'vertical video syndrome' like everyone else. We're clearly missing out on the other pimple faced youth in the crowd. This video has lost all meaning.

Please tell me you're kidding?

I'll have to meditate on this for a while.
