That sounds like my neighbor - his basement is a course lower than mine and fills up rather easily. His sump failed while on a two day absence and he came back to about a foot of water. He's got a water pressure powered backup now just in case he main sump fails or he loses power.

Do you need to supplement your sump pump?

I had about 20 but that wasn't enough. I just got tired of constantly changing batteries in the keyboard because it's power hungry. No more problems with that though. I don't have to charge it for at least a month now.

The keyboard I use has a mouse 'thumb' wheel on the front and trackball on the other side. It's good for use while standing - I tend to use it that way a lot due to my living room setup. It's got about a 20 foot range. I haven't found a good alternative with the same features. The hacked battery lasts a lot longer now…
