I'm not sure why you're comparing a small mill / printer in a suitcase against your professional manufacturing equipment anymore than I would compare my car to a bicycle.

Not everything needs to be machined to .0005 tolerances out of metal. I printed a bracket the other day that looks nice and works just fine for its intended purpose. Could I have machined one? I have a small mill so yes but that would have taken me more time.

The more interesting thing to me is that they're not even using their own Cube or CubeX printers to print them. They're using a Zprinter 650 from ZCorp which is completely different technology and company.

While a third-party controller from Watlow and the like may work, I would contact them first with your heating element details to be sure. It doesn't sound like a simple resistive heating element and might need an interface between to control the current to it. I've run into this in the pasty with heated wire systems.
