Why buy travel toothpaste at all? I do something similar with my used Preparation H tubes. The toothpaste tastes funny but you get used to it after a while.

I've been on there two years now and have only heard of the 'alternate' communities through news stories. It's really quite varied and there is something for everyone be it good or bad. That about sums up the internet in general.

I'd still have played Asteroids over this. Meteor is just a cheap knock-off. Hell, even the UFO's move in a similar way. Practically every game at the time had raster graphics. Vector graphics gave Asteroids and a few other games a unique style.

Just use a small piece of colored heat shrink tubing. It's very durable and easy to remove if needed.
