The ports are labeled 'motor' and 'monitor'. I'm assuming the motor one is for an interface to a small stepper motor inside the unit. They may not have to room to mount a drive in there. I'm not quite sure what the HD15 monitor port is for though. Maybe feedback for sensors in the unit.

Wow, that's a really impressive job. I'm jealous of the minimum insulation he's using. I had to use gas permeable foam sheeting which was pricey and then mold resistant drywall over that. I hate the finishing work anyway so when I see unfinished drywall I just want to run away ;)
