I’ve already cried over this news this morning. Yay for Canada.

I am as looking in on moving as well. When I graduate college I hope to be in the Great White North.

I straight up cried. I don’t consider myself terribly emotional, but between Canada’s beautiful reception and Humans of New York lately, I’m a mess.

as would I

Actually, this is one of the times I’m glad there’s as much publicity as possible on it. Everyone should know that we are welcoming to refugees, inside and outside the country.

Also, this might not be funny to people unfamiliar with canadian media, but I found this hilarious this morning:

Canada is back to shaming us neighbors to the south with their good governance. All is right in the natural world again.

Oh geez. That sucks that you’re surrounded by his idiot supporters. How are people reacting today?

what’s the logic used by supporters? that ALL of the women were lying and he was telling the truth?

Trudeau is hardly a perfect PM, but after years of Harper and all the quiet (and not-so-quiet) racism that came along with him, this feels just so good...

In most states, you can call *77 on your cell to get in contact with the highway patrol in the area. They should be able to relay your intention to the officer following you. talk about a dark reboot...

Call 911 and let them know you’re aware that you are being pulled over but will wait until you’re somewhere safe.

How could they do this? Simple. It’s called the law. Something you were supposed to uphold, not break.

I‘ve heard call 911 from your car and explain— not sure that’s truthful or valid—but at least it a flag in the ground.

His sister started selling “Free the Claw” T-shirts.

Whenever I see a movie or TV show with a villain who ends up shocked or upset that someone opposes them, like “what did I do to deserve this?”, I’m always left thinking, “How can they justify being frustrated that someone opposes their evil plans? How can they write a character like that.”

I am seriously researching and contemplating a move to Canada. If there are any American’s that have made the move that could provide insight on the largest differences and hurdles, I’d be interested in hear them.
