I think that’s a perfectly acceptable reaction to a horrible situation. I can see myself helping to build the barricade. I can see myself frantically calling 911. I can see myself running around in circles and vomiting profusely out of sheer terror.

I like to think I’d react well in that type of situation, but not (yet) having faced a mass shooter, there’s a good possibility I’ll be found curled up on the floor in a puddle of my own urine.
So are parts of my Facebook feed. I should just hide these family members, but I don’t because they remind me that civil rights have a long way to go (kind of like reading yahoo comments).

My Mississippi (racist) relatives began posting about this right away prior to the media knowing who the shooter was. I’m sad for all victims and family involved, but relieved for my Facebook feed that the suspected shooter is white.
