I understand—I’m actually in exactly the same boat. I said this to someone above, but since adopting my dogs it’s become pretty much impossible for me to be able justify supporting the horrible system. But I can’t get it together to vegetarian, much less vegan, as much as it shames me.

I guess I just don’t consider factory farming to be any less of a moral obscenity for animal lovers than trophy hunting.

Oh my fundie friends and fam use this exact passage when they want me to know that being vegan is “against god’s will”. They seem to think it means that they have carte blanche to treat animals however they like.
