Why is it we’re talking about the pussy-grabbing tape and not this? Walking in on teenagers is sexual assault... On a teenager. This is just him waving his (thankfully proverbial) dick around.

It’s deeply creepy and disgusting, and he should have been ineligible for election after it came to light, but I agree with you that this is not a literal admission of something he literally did. Calling him “Pussy-Grabber-In-Chief” is more than fair. But treating it as a real allegation of sexual assault is dishonest.
Maybe Great Gatsby? I like Maguire and wish he’d show up in more stuff. He’s like how Matthew Broderick used to be, but less smarmy.
Yes! Action movies so often do emotional beats ham-handedly or perfunctorily. The only other one I’m familiar with that does them well is previous entry Terminator 2.
I loved Spy. Spy was what I wanted Girlbusters and Bridesmaids to be.
I bought a 3D blu ray player just so I could watch this movie at home in 3D. It suffers a little from being viewed on a small screen, but it’s still completely amazing.
As always, this is a great write-up! I love to hear someone else explain exactly what’s awesome about awesome movies, and Mad Max certainly was the best action movie of 2015 and even a few years around it.
I have, and I’m really liking what it has become since moving to WordPress or whatever it is. I still come here for the articles, and because every now and again I’ll find a comments section not dominated by the horrible new commenters (not saying all new commenters are bad, I just don’t want to attract the bad ones…
These are all excellent points, and this collects all my personal grievances against kinja. Thank you for compiling this and making it concise and easy to read.
He took Seven Of Nine’s advice to Harry a bit too seriously (if you wish to mate with me, why do you not take off your clothes?).
Sounds like schools Without Walls all over again. It wasn’t a good idea back then, either.
Of course they are readily identifiable. I mean, no one hides this behavior from the public!
I got halfway through that book before being derailed by my child’s request to read The Hobbit. It was good, and I plan to get back to it someday, but it doesn’t quite grab me in the way that Dune did.
Having just listened to the song above, I have to agree with you wholeheartedly. My eight-year-old loves to watch the same stuff over and over, and he was asking if I could turn it off before it ended on its own.
I’m with you on this one. It’s like it was genetically engineered to suck!
Fun fact: I never blocked anyone on disqus. I never needed or wanted to. Now that I can’t block, this douche shows up and is on almost every article!
I did not know that! All I remembered of S2 was the recycled plots that were repurposed from a planned-but-never-executed Star Trek 2 TV series. The plots were written around characters that were not on ST:TNG, and so they made little sense.
I avoid the second season as well (that was when the writers strike occurred), and the third season when they bring in Dr. Pulaski and don’t know what to do with her. If they are wearing the uniforms with jackets, it’ll be good. If not, well...
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is my go-to show (apart from Adventure Time). I know the story, so I can jump in anywhere. The whole thing is filled with compelling characters and tons of drama. Plus, it looks beautiful (I cannot say the same of AT).
Monk is a great answer!
