I’ve been thinking about the SUV/CUV craze, and I think one of the reasons it keeps propagating is that you can’t see over/around/past them in a sedan. Driving down the side of a mountain at 80 MPH in a sedan and I can’t see the brake lights of the car in front of the giant SUV in front of me. It’s all kinds of

Front plates: more states than not require front plates. As such the second part of that post is 100% inaccurate.

I learned how to drive stick in Florida as well. My memory of my first attempt was that no one told me (until I was trying to stop) that you had to push the clutch in to stop. There’s a certain kind of panic that sets in when someone tells you to do something you don’t really know how to do while you’re trying to do

All of that, too.

For #3, if I could also recommend turning off notifications for a post. Especially a post on a public article (like, say, from the New York Times or similar). You get to have your say or snarky quip and then you never have to know if someone replied or is arguing with you. It’s helped me avoid the irritation that

I don’t have to find a place in my house/yard/local storage facility for AWD. Not true for tires.

I think I’m just going to fly in my bikini from now on. I mean, I’ll still have a backpack or whatever, so I’ll still have to take some electronics out, but at least it will make it more interesting when they grope me.

Anyone else wonder if this is a ploy to encourage passengers to pay the extra money to check their

Every time I see Skyactiv I wonder if we’re in the Terminator. Then I remember that was Skynet.

So this HR-V and the Toyota whateverthefuckitscalled remind me of the Juke. Are Jukes selling really well to where Toyota and Honda felt the need to add a vehicle like that? And if it’s trying to compete with the Juke, why the HELL wouldn’t this thing have a turbo and what-not?

I don’t know what that means, but I’m gonna google it. Thanks for the information :-)

If one could get cars in blue, I don’t think the Polestar is the color I would choose. But given that the standard color options include gray, blue-gray, gray-blue, and silver, the Polestar is droolworthy.

So, what makes this different from what’s available here? I’ve seen it mentioned twice in these comments and just wondering what makes it better than an Outback or CrossTrek...

But the Mazda does fall into the “you can get grey, grey-blue, silver, white, or red” trap. Can we get some color already?!

I gotta agree about visibility... mostly because everyone else on the damn road has a CUV that I can’t see over.

I want one of those. WTF, America? I didn’t even know this was a thing until right now and you have just ruined everything! So sad.

I would LOVE to see Kamala Harris run.

Or vehicle registration?

Driving up and down I-25 (presumably) with a manual transmission does not sound like my idea of a good time.

I’m kind of with you. I have been at my job for almost 5 years. I get regular pay increases and great benefits, but there’s no challenge. I’m bored. And worse, I feel like I’m losing my skills. But... it’s 40 (or less) hours per week, lots of vacation time, cheap health insurance, and great retirement benefits. It’s a

Maybe if you died from the actual blast of air and not bludgeoning your brains onto a piece of concrete... OW!
