I’d take the lame jokes over the intentionally unhelpful messages that are designed to get other players killed.

I didn’t learn how to throw a baseball until I was probably 30, despite playing baseball my whole childhood. Apparently you’re only supposed to grip it with two fingers, but I was using my whole palm. No wonder getting the ball from the outfield to 2B took so much effort, I was essentially throwing changeups.
I learned how to shut up a TON more, far too late for a lot of professional and personal mistakes in my younger days. If I’d kept my mouth closed on several occasions, I might have had some better opportunities. I’ve gotten better now, but still have a long way to go.
Nothing.
Because it is never embarassing to learn.
If you learned something today that “everyone knows” YOU ARE ONE OF TODAY’S LUCKY 10,000!!!! (xkcd ref)
Reframing like that has made it so much more fun for me to share things with people that didn’t know them before, and for them too, because there’s no sense of shame…
“And most people don’t know what actual fighter jet combat looks like”
I think a lot of people know it.
But its like praying...people need something to look up to. To give hope. Even if the chances are horrible against them, they need this to keep on fighting. To push back.
That’s because the video game footage is better than what you’d get of a dogfight with a smartphone on the ground. In real life the whole thing would have been over before the auto-focus could dial in.
I like the tweet that notes this (alleged) pilot is “6-0" as if there’s a lot of pilots out there with like losing records. Generally notching anything in the loss column as a military pilot doesn’t end well.
I’ve been using the BBC and TheDrive’s Warzone sites for updates on the conflict. Bonus, the Warzone is helmed by Jalopnik alumni Tyler Rogoway.
It’s extremely amusing that people can’t tell the difference between videogame footage and reality. Makes The Matrix even more entertaining.
Not sure where the Filipino nurses is coming from, but the 30 y.o. tech bros? Oh hell yeah. If for no other reason than to swing dicks right back at the brodozers icing public chargers.
I think you are drastically underestimating the size of the Tesla cult. While there’s no way the CT will outsell the Ford Lightning and Chevy SilvErado, I would not be surprised to see it sell ~100k units over the first couple of years of full production. In case you haven’t noticed, we don’t live in a rational world.…
Meh, if you’re lemming-ish enough to pop the money for a Musk Truck, I’m sure you’ll be an easy mark for the accessories. Let the market speak.
I’m going to do some research on those charging stations that look like vintage gas pumps to see if they’ll work with the Lightning that I have ordered. If it’ll work, I’m 100% buying one! How flipping cool would that be?!
Really, ~37 million people in just one country are still talking about it.
Nobody made you click on the article. Fuck off.
The organizers/leaders of this hoedown had their bail hearings yesterday.
I don’t know why this is surprising to anybody. I wager that a lot of law enforcement lean right on the political spectrum. I don’t like the conflict of interest that this represents, but again, I am not surprised that some were supporters and blindly donated to the grift. “Some of those who work forces...” and stuff.
I’ve been fortunate that it worked out for me. I had been going out with my ex for close to 2 years and was ready to propose (I had had the ring for almost a year) when she dumped me completely out of the blue. To say I was messed up from that would be putting it mildly. Combined with other circumstances in my life…
what are you saying this is an advertisement for? The healthcare system in general?
