Did you know Lucas electrics run on smoke? It’s true, I know because if the smoke escapes, it stops working. That’s why you always need to keep a spare jar handy...

I thought the exact same thing when I saw it :-)

I’ve been following this game all year, hoping for it to come down to a sensible price, but we’re still getting ripped off.

The house where I live now is bordered by woods on two sides, although they’re not actually on my property (we do have a few trees).

When you have lots of ground, it takes lots of looking after. As someone who has lived on 2.5 acres, believe me I know that this is about the maximum you can comfortably look after without employing gardeners/groundskeepers. We used to keep a flock of geese to keep the grass down.

Fair enough. I said if they got rid of Shouty McShoutface and let LeBlanc head it up, I would start watching again, and so I shall.

Couple of points from me:

All of them, including The Inspector and The Ant and the Aardvaark, can be found on my media server so they can be streamed all over the house... ;-)

It does seem odd, but I’ve just looked into it further and found this on Wikipedia:

Now playing

I used to love watching the Pink Panther as a kid, along with the companion shows The Ant and the Aardvaark and The Inspector.

I once bought a PT Cruiser. Deliberately. With actual money.

Fair enough - that makes sense.

I’m also reminded of a similar change in the old Warhammer MMO. You could change the appearance of your kit, but only your side would see it. The opposing side would always see the default look for the equipment you were wearing, because the different armour sets had different bonuses

I think it was more people complaining about others not having their helmets on.

I figured that was the case. I haven’t driven an HGV for years, but I heard they were heading towards auto boxes. The irony of that is I have always preferred auto boxes mainly because after driving a lorry all day, it was nice to get into an auto car to drive home.

I always thought “hairy pants” was a euphemism for going commando...

When I was a kid, my dad had a Diamond T wrecker with two gearsticks. I was too young to understand how it worked, but I know he got rid of it in fairly short order because it was a bastard to drive.

While I think many would agree with you, the problem with “anything goes” racing is that it usually ends up turning into “he with the most money wins”, which gets boring pretty quickly.

I actually enjoy NMS, but I never really read any articles and such and so I went into the game with no real preconceptions.
