Old Navy Active has been the shit for me. I’ve had to toss 1 pair of active leggings in 3 years and that was just recently and only due to a seam coming undone. Old Navy’s everything else on the other hand....wtf old navy. Like everything immediately shrinks 2 sizes. I bought a knee length dress there in the spring

Yeah, your average size 0 is short and may be a size 2 or 4 as a fully grown adult. I think that’s one of the biggest problems in the modeling industry. They start these girls at 15 years old when they aren’t done growing, and expect them to have that same lanky, teen body as a 22 year old.

Agreed. I was a natural and healthy size 0 at 16. But I was (and still am) 5 ft tall. So not model material.

The size restriction is for the models’ protection because they are constantly pressured to lose weight and be smaller. I think it’s pretty rare that a model is a natural and healthy size 0.

At my skinniest, I was a size 0 (crazy in love). I’m 5'3" and have a bone structure that could be accurately described as a buncha toothpicks stacked one on top of the other.

Don’t let those furry bastards fool you, Amanda. They come in, all cute and fluffy, but they don’t effing leave. A year later they’ve chewed every cable you own, broken all your flower pots, permanently scarred your flesh, and terrorized your previous pets into alcoholism.

Quite a story. I give his date props for her dogged persistence in trying to correct the problem. Quite a few people would have left the poop where it fell and played dumb. Who would suspect her?

So I’m guessing there was no date No. 2?

I feel sad for you that you think this way.

I am dead now. Dead from laughing.

The noises are unreal. They sound like two cartoon birds screaming.

America is, and has always been, a land of massive contradictions. Of soaring rhetoric about freedoms, of true dedication towards egalitarian ideals, of prosperity and progress; while at the same time a land where the weak are considered immoral, where the nation was founded on a violent revolution, where black people

So many of us, myself included, take it completely for granted that we are citizens. And I mean I have an immigrant mother and a sister born overseas.

I think the fact that most women are at least a size twelve is precisely why those sizes are never going to be the high fashion norm. Designers are all about who they can exclude to drive up the price and prestige of their clothes. I remember an obese Lagerfeld insinuating that if women couldn’t wear his tiny Chanel

Ah, I see where you are confused: An opinion is not a fact.

And who gets to decide what “aspirational” means? It has usually meant white, taller than normal, and underweight. But we can do better than that.

Lots, actually. I think it depends on where you live. My old neighborhood (Arlington/Deming Historic District in Lincoln Park, Chicago) was pretty much all tall, thin, adult women.

I don’t know much about the Fashion industry. I know that it wants to be exclusive and aspirational or whatever, but since the people that are making these clothing designs are artists, one would think they wouldn’t want to limit themselves to such a very narrow standards for a “canvas”. You would think just from an

My parents.

She looks very pretty here and the article is fine but my biggest takeaway/shock was “Suits has been on for SEVEN YEARS? Who is watching it?”
