This. Though it’s a social requirement, tipping is not mandatory. Maybe she left a cash tip, maybe she didn’t, or maybe she thought someone else in her group was putting down the tip. To do this over a $4 tip is gross.

Not getting a tip is shitty. When I used to not get a tip I’d be like damn, they didn’t tip me, asshole, and then continue my day. This shit is ridiculous and whoever is making this huge deal should probably be fired, it is not a good look for the restaurant.

Pretty stupid of Baby’s. Whether or not she tipped on a $24 bill, you can’t prove she didn’t pay in cash, and it only comes across as petty and vindictive. Not that anyone really cares—mountain out of a molehill.

She’s amazing to the NYC foster community! I foster cats here as well and it’s so tough - there are so many of them and lots have diseases and/or are feral. She takes in dozens at a time and gets them ready for adoption. Follow her IG if you like kittens! There are many heartwarming stories.

Yeah, I smiled when I read that tidbit. I feed 3 feral cats (and a very Scrappy possum) who live in my neighborhood and it’s an expense I wasn’t anticipating. Now I’m gearing up to try and trap, neuter or spay and release them. Good on her for doing right by cats with her resources.

Beth Stern seems so delightful. She hosts all of the Kitten Bowl type shows on Hallmark Channel (which I watch because kittens) and she seems super passion about rescue animals.

400 cats, wow, Beth Stern is just a few tax brackets away from a Hoarders episode. Kidding, 400 cats is amazing. I say that as someone who fosters cats and kittens, that shit gets expensive and labor intensive. Spay and neuter your cats, people, kitties are slutty and positively Duggarish on birth control.
