Ehhhh, Klobuchar (based on her running speech) is running as a centrist who thinks the problem in DC is “gridlock” and not Republican insanity. Harris is still a career prosecutor in an era that doesn’t look too kindly on Law and Order Dems. Brown would be cool (pro-labor Ohio politician that was reelected in 2018).

“..The problem with the question of ‘what do men want?’ is that they usually just tell you, rather inelegantly...”

You absolute clown, do you even read the posts you reply to? Almost nothing I said here was about “the correct way to talk about death metal” or “the definition of black metal.” I made one quick comment about that since it swiftly established that I probably didn’t need to say much more, because the guy was clearly

What a lovely little cliche you are.

When you look in the mirror, does a human being look back at you, or just a cardboard cutout with I’M OFFENDED spray-painted on its vaguely human-shaped forehead?

I’m not a fan of actual racism and actual sexism. I’m also not a fan of people like you, or many of the new writers on this site, who spend a lot of time

I’m gonna go out on a limb and suggest that you have no fucking clue what you’re talking about. One, the band this movie is about doesn’t play death metal. And two, the overwhelming majority of black and death metal bands are rarely paid more than pennies for their shows and records, if even that. Most operate

“I still don’t understand why of all “metal” bands they’re the ones who capture non-metal fan’s imaginations.”

But how will he win the most woke comments award?

If you cannot see the relevance, that is perhaps your problem more than mine. I am just going to go back to ignoring you.

Hey identity and difference, I think this encapsulates the recurring banter recognitions has with others quite a bit.

The Internet Outrage Machine needs to Calm. The. Fuck. Down. He spoke an uncomfortable truth. Someone you know and loved is brutalized by (insert Race, Religion or Ethnicity here) and you don’t feel for a hot minute that you will tear into the next (insert Race, Religion or Ethnicity here)... Stop Lying. Yeah, he took

It must be exhausting to be you all the time.

This story is the perfect hunk of red meat for the usual crop of posters who get off on this sort of thing.

Yes, clearly Famous Hollywood Movie Star Liam Neeson was wandering around Northern Ireland pubs in 2010 looking for hate crimes to commit.  That was the obvious, non-racist apologist way to read it.

I’ve watched the teaser trailer probably over a dozen times, and I’m always infuriated by how much unfulfilled potential the movie has. That performance deserves a much more bonkers story. I wish Nicolas Winding Refn had made it instead.

No more Lovecraft stuff for a while, please. Beyond being a vile racist, his themes are have been incredibly overplayed in the last 15 years. Lovecraftian is the most overused pop culture descriptor since Tarintono-esque.

The only Lovecraft adaptation in any media I’ve heard working well has been the boardgames. I hope this director is a magic bullet. Lovecraft is a tough sell in a movie today because it lacks some of the modern horror movie bullet points. There’s usually not a lot of gore. The creatures aren’t recognizable (except

I love this show and I love these actors, so I blame you, whoever wrote that headline, for making me instantly dubious. I hate love letters to New York.

From Beyond? Re-Animator? Dagon? The Resurrected? All good adaptations, however loosely.

This will actually be (at least) the 4th time that this story has been adapted for the screen. 1965's “Die Monster Die” was probably the earliest. There’s an 80's version called “The Curse”. There’s a German version from 2010 that is probably the closest to the source material.
