Best of luck with Asperger’s. I struggled with depression my whole life until I also found out at age 27 I suffered from a disorder as well (social anxiety), but my life has been much better since. Finding out exactly what’s ailing you is the first big step to sorting your life out.

Among other things, marginalized people pointing these sort of aggressions out can illuminate issues to people not in that marginalized group they were just unaware of. I’m gay but not trans, and hearing responses like this (and this is hardly a “grab the pitchforks” article) can make me more aware of what I say.

As someone who is also LGBT (though I, like you (it sounds like), am not trans and so won’t pretend I’m an authority on that experience), I think it’s fair to call out someone who makes a transphobic joke, even if it wasn’t made to, like, explicitly hurt someone. I would say start a new one until they fix the problem with old saves. There was suppose to be a way to bring back your old base from the previous build of the game but its not working currently.

I don’t know about anyone else, but with the update I lost everything except my Units. Upgraded Exosuit and Multitool are gone. Awesome upgraded ship gone. Personally I wanted to hold my breath for an N64 classic but we are past the time when they announced SNES Classic last year. I know they just relaunched NES Classic a week ago and my guess is they’re focused on making sure the demand is met for NES/SNES Classic.
