Well thank God, the first game was a little too sunshine-and-roses for my tastes.

Patricia!

It’s 2:30AM here in Indonesia when the conference ended, all my sleepiness had been wiped and my inner Sony fanboy is clawing out.

Riiight. I’ve been a PC gamer all my life and the game looks great on a PS3.

My call is that those dead people are Fireflies... I’m guessing the fireflies destroyed Uncle Tommy town and maybe killed everyone searching for Ellie.

My prediction: Ellie and Joel’s relationship will completely deteriorate over the course of this game, and there will be a very messy “break-up” - either one of them leaves, or someone has to kill the other one.

I hope Gustavo Santaolalla does the music. The first game’s music was so immersive, emotional, and perfect. Honestly, the music is my only reservation, which is surprising, as much as I loved the first game. It’s usually tough to count on a sequel being as good as the original, but I know I can count on Naughty Dog

I wouldn’t think there’d be enough zombie and post apocalyptic clichees left to support a second last of us. I mean they did inexplicable rapist cannibals, oppressive government, the one person with the cure, the old badass making up for failing the one they loved when it mattered most. All that’s really left is for

I’ve felt that way for a while but now that it’s officially real... I can’t help but be excited.

“The first game was released in 2013 with a big cliffhanger that didn’t make it very clear what would happen to Ellie, so it makes sense for Naughty Dog to return to her.”

In the second picture we can see Ellie’s “Fuck Konami” face.

As much as I liked The Last of Us, I don’t see the need for a sequel. That doesn’t mean it won’t be good, but The Last of Us had one of my favorite game endings ever. The ambiguity is what made it work. I’ll give this a chance, but I’m a little sad that that ambiguity will be gone.

When I saw the Fireflies graffiti.

Hope they prove me wrong but I think continuing the story of Joel and Ellie is a mistake. Would of rather seen another story told in the same world.
