I refuse to be a luddite, but I also just hate to see internal combustion thrown out. Anyone who claims that EVs are more eco-friendly than a modern ICE is fooling themselves.

The lack of infrastructure plus the effect of cold weather on EVs are major detractors. Motor Trend just posted something about their experiences which confirms a lot of what my friends with EV have said:
This site is so anti-Tesla. My Model 3 has excellent panel fitment and Elon can impregnate my wife or daughter anytime he wishes. Or me.
If it was on a slide show posting....
Actually considering WHERE we are I believe this is the perfect meme
Yup, I’ve got a 964 C2 and I just had a feeling some Jalponik know-it-all would put this on the list. I’m in Colorado, have a place up at 8,000 ft and my car has 260,000 on the clock because it is my daily driver. That means, snow, ice and rain. It has ABS, a limited-slip diff and 60% of the weight on the rear tires,…
In addition to being the wrong model, the fact that a smaller car ended up #17 with all the larger, heavier vehicles is pretty amazing.
Even assuming the Model 3 and Model Y safety ratings are directly applicable to each other, #17 out of top 20 highest safety ratings is still pretty damn good, so I’m not really sure what the point you’re trying to make is.
Very out dated way of thinking. Kia has IMO one of the better lineups in the auto industry. Folks were spending mid 50s for kia stinger GT2 (not enough folks, but they have a pretty loyal fanbase), and folks are spending over 60k on top trim Tellurides. The Ev6 is completely unique from a styling perspective and a lot…
Which is worse, this or the Hummer EV’s situation?
Ask to talk to nearly anyone that’s bought a telluride in the last 2 years. With markup and options, they’re over 60k in Colorado, but you’ll see one at every stoplight.
Jalopnik deleting this comment:
Weird it is under a “READ THIS!” headline. Does Jalopnik get a kickback from Bloomberg here?
Perhaps they are people who want an electric car with proper body panel gaps?
It’s crap like this that eats me alive. I’ve spoken several times on this site whenever stories like this come up. I’ve spoken how the State of Alabama attempted to extend I-85 from Montgomery to the Mississippi/Alabama state line that would have wiped out a multitude of farms, neighborhoods and communities, and…
Man, this is just like over at Lifehacker....
A certain “writer” (who will not be named) over there always does this.... Click this link to read the whole story.....
Ummmm no.....
head over to Bloomberg and
read the whole thingbe greeted with a paywall.
Warning: paywalled article.
Unfortunately, you are not the first to imagine changing the oil strainer via the top of the engine, before changing your mind by some miracle, and draining with more liquid oil.
Those tires and wheels are a choice. One that makes me doubt all of the other choices current owner has made (the ones regarding this vehicle being most significant).
