I saw a video of what I think was an F1 LM with straight-cut gears, and at high speed it was an ear-piercing whine; louder than the engine. I couldn’t deal with that. Low speed? Sure.

Am I the only one that LOVES lumpy cams? Especially on an old muscle car. That, or the sound of straight cut gears at low speed.
