you dont “need” gas 3/4 and even 1tons. both are capable of towing heavy goose necks and lasting 300000 plus miles. Modern trucks dont fall into the same generalizations that they used to.

Those look much more like Van's my friend.
Ha! the CIA and many other gov entities with acronyms not known by the public do this and much worse very often. MKUltra is an example, and a “tame” one at that.
normal grunts, no, you are correct. A highly trained spec ops team where each member has had lots of $ dumped into them just in training alone, you bet your ass the usgov will protect those assets with armored vehicles.
if you don’t want to sit there don’t. dont ruin it for everyone who does because of your own personal opinions. go get bent.
People also irrationally think if they are going the speed limit they are entitled to the left lane-not the case- if you are not passing someone get out, regardless of your speed. If you just passed someone and the next car in the right lane is more than 5-10 seconds of length in front of you get out. And people that…
Ah yes the kseries, known for being lower due to the powertrain redesign...you found one of the exceptions, put it next to the lowered 454ss from 1990 and it’s identical. go back further and even the apache 10 caryall suburban would be very close to the size and height of a current suburban, or the late 40s…
The truck I pictured is much much taller than an equivalent off-road trim available now. Not sure if you are trolling or what, but my point stands. When a truck from 50 years ago is just as wide and TALLER in every sense, it proves that the idiot trope of “bigger trucks every year I can’t believe it” is utter crap.…
hammering on trucks is a sure bet. so many people on this site assume that a massive majority of pickup drivers do not use their trucks for actual work. super crappy logic...I don’t bitch at people in their sedans not filling up their 5 seats with people every time they drive it. and then to bitch about something as…
Dumb comment. Trucks by nature of length are much easier to back into a parking spot. I can one time back in 98% of the time. one time pulling in 50-50. And as someone else stated it is inherently safer for everyone to back into their spots for a number of reasons.
So. Much. This. Pictured is a 60s Chevrolet. Factory everything and so much taller and even wider than current off-road trims.
wow your post reads like a teenage armchair quarterback. . # of cylinders has absoltuely nothing to do with power. displacement on the other hand....I’ve seen massive 4 pots pushing huge hp and torque figures. kind of laughable to assume engineers with Phd and a big gm budget don’t know what they are doing
5000lbs without breaking a sweat. I’ve towed it’s 7k limit a few times with a full bed and it still had plenty of power left (brakes weren’t over-worked either, and the automatic engine braking in trailer mode helps a lot)
got one can confirm. only complaint I have is the transmission seems a bit finicky. Bought it new at the end of 2013 and it just broke 100k. It gets the job done. but nothing can replace my 1 ton w/utility bed to get hard work/towing done.
came here to say this, headlights look like the early 90s variety.
In before the truck hate...oh wait, nvm.
such a tired, worn-out trope. trucks have been like this since the middle of the 20th century, why people moan about “stock” ride height and size...go do some history research on full size trucks. also, you obviously don’t require a truck for work/family/leisure, so why complain when others do? it’s a tool, not some…
smh you def are one of the dudes riding my tail, this comment confirmed it. Let’s stop worrying about what others do with their time and money and worry more about making ourselves better mmmmkay?
Wow. So because a pickup has 4 doors the bed is smaller? Hey chief, pickups with four doors have 3 box size options just like single cab trucks. 4 doors has nothing to do with the box size. also, having a “crew” cab is extremely convenient when wanting to get work done and need your “crew” with you. Also, also, aside…
