All our VWs are designed for Americans. The 2005 Passat I just unloaded drove more like my brother's Malibu than a European car.

@DatsunJeeplover: Its stock
Jeep Wrangler! (this one is mine)
I learned to drive a stick when I was 9 on the farm truck (3-on-the-tree) and graduated up to a 4-on-the-floor when I was 15. I took my drivers test in a 71 Ford F100 LWB with manual transmission, no power steering, and no AC (very important in MS in July) After the instructor watched me nail the parallel parking…
@I. Heart. Cars.: Uh oh, you're in for it now...

Hmm... GM's 3400 V6 was terrible, with an intake gasket that would predictably self destruct at about 130k miles, just after the point the car no longer worth the expense of fixing.
@DennyCraneDennyCraneDennyCrane: Unfortunately, their legs were in the crumple zone. In this case, they ended up neither dead nor crippled, so I'm saying they made the right decision.
It wasn't cheap, but it has been amazing. The trick to getting really good reception was a good ground line straight down to a dedicated grounding rod (also for lightning safety)
C'était un rendez-vous
@JDub: That is perfectly acceptable. If you feel the need to cross a line to prevent door dings, do it by taking up a space that nobody could possibly want or use.
Poor lil YJ. What has that bastard done to you?

What is wrong with the BLS?
To this day I cant convince my Dad that foreign automakers are the new domestics. The Big 3 are building their cars in Canada and Mexico, while Japanese, German, and Korean automakers are building cars in the USA.
It looks fantastic. I like how it mimics the shape of the original without going out of its way to look "retro"
I'd buy it, if only because its so incredibly tec-sexy
