The 16kw is exactly that - 16kw. Charging for 0.25miles/9mph = .028 hours at 16kw = .448 kwh. Given that EVs get about 3 miles/kwh, it’s adds about 1.5 miles.

None of the maintenance issues you mention are specific to hybrids. Try harder.
