Sure. I'm not here to bag on your ideology because it's different. I accept there may be a workable alternative to capitalism, and that it's impossible to predict the full operation of a political system beforehand - especially one which involves so much citizen participation.

I think lots of people would consider the idea that "a de-industrialized major city will be a catalyst of social or economic experimentation." Sure. It's an interesting idea.

But I thought "empowerment = being sexy [for men]." Makeup ads say so!

I feel like, if she couldn't tell by now then it's probably 2. Like I feel if he was in love there would have been some emotional hints that would have clued her in otherwise. But he has trouble doing the romantic emotions without it coming off as fake, so he doesn't and just goes through the motions.

it would be fun if, for no visible reason, he suddenly got really intense about working out.

I think most of the negativity comes from contextualizing writing as some sort of job or part of a search for a career rather than a hobby. It's like how in high school 1/10 of the school planned on being directors or actors/actresses for careers.

"competitive mothering" - never heard that before, and it's a great turn of phrase.

there's something about a 50 year old PR professional wearing "so random!" headwear for an interview that screams "trying too hard to look young and hip."

Firstly, he lives in a sewer, and surrounds himself with idiots. Why does he do that? I mean, I guess he likes being the smartest guy in the room, but there are limits, surely.

If it was just the price, that wouldn't kill it for me. But it's faster too.

I was thinking that. Like "wow, that's a lot of open space for the brooklyn bridge, I wonder who fixed all that Brooklyn<->NYC congestion."

If there was a Brotaku (that needs to be a thing) that was broadcasting this simultaneously, that would probably be getting most of the views.

Guest right management isn't their thing.

I enjoy that the NSA has relocated me to this gulag! It protects me from the unsavory elements of society.

Texas: the state where petty theft is punishable by death.

I have it on good information even gang members don't like these laws. I'm not sure when the Founders wrote the 2nd amendment it was with mind to turning the rule of law into play-doh.

to be clear, I mean tyler perry movies engages black culture (while exaggerating and sometimes making a mockery out of it) in a way hollywood never will. I'm not trying to say Tyler perry movies are specifically silencing of Appalachian culture.

No I have not. I wish they had mechanical keyboard stores in the United States like they did in Japan, cause they often have display models.

I don't know, I know a lot of people who are proud to be called rednecks. I think the negative connotations to that word are a lot to do with what a person attaches to people from rural towns.

Enjoy this insanely long post about mechanical keyboards. Obviously I can never talk about this in real life without people's eyes glazing over or suggesting (fairly) that "wow you must be horrifyingly boring if you get excited about keyboards."
