To be fair, this is also because I see this a nice foot in the door to finding more long-term work in the country, so that probably makes everything seem brighter.

Looks like an interesting film!

There were glitches during a screening of Harry Potter and went to and we all got free tickets to another film of our choice!

Ah, right. Yeah, I forgot about that. I remember when the film first came out that there was the controversy of him using real impoverished people to play villagers which also left a sour aftertaste.

Spotlight had some scenes that were way more powerful than I had expected. A shame about Ruffalo's performance though (go figure it would get an Oscar nod).

Daredevil and Jessica Jones are current pop culture blindspots of mine (I do plan on watching the latter soon), but it's nice to see Rosario Dawson and Krysten Ritter getting work.

She had a pilot where she and Jennifer Jason Leigh played lesbians but HBO didn't pick it up.

Meter is a fantastic, terribly underrated actress. She was one of the best parts of The Honourable Woman.

Season 8 committed the horrible sin of wasting Charlotte Rampling's time. At least she followed it up with the wonderful 45 Years.

Perhaps call it quits with Dexter now and just watch the final episode for the hilarity?

While I wanted Jennifer Jason Leigh to win for Anomalisa, that's great Mya Taylor has received some recognition for her work. IIRC, I believe she is the first trans actor to win at the Independent Spirit Awards.
