Thankfully, hI read some interview with an expert on fascism and she said Trump was too scatter-brained (or something along those lines) to be a fascist leader, but damn if his rhetoric isn't something along those lines. The fact he's still popular at the polls says a lot of disturbing shit about our country.

The Haunting of Hill House is one of the best books I've read and Shirley Jackson is a genius.

It's my favorite novel of hers. It's so different from her crime writing, but all the complexity and intelligence is on full display.

Carol is the best film I've seen this year.
