I have fond memories of playing four to five games of 6 player Settlers of Catan a day for about a month straight with my Chinese students and friends during my stay in Yunnan province.

I think they're not keen on incredibly short snarky comments. I've seen other websites clamp down on it too.

Man I haven't thought about that show in forever. First episode: whoa badass dude with guns take down crazy cloney thingies. Next 13 episodes, mafia melodrama. Then back to nightmarish genetic engineering zombies! Despite genre whiplash this was all executed with surprising panache.

But seriously: the amount of time you turned this thing around is still nothing short of amazing. The race to be first is the race to be wrong, but damnit, this is an exception.

Frankly, if more of the internet would read pieces like these, I don't think they'd have to write out so many. An incredibly thoughtful piece from Sonia.

Well that escalated quickly.

Damnit. I just spit Dr. Pepper on my Chromebook. Pretty much sums up my reaction.

Definitely a segment of the population that I don't think I had much of any interaction with until my college days. Although my family is still fairly conservative, I'm often surprised by flashes of progressivism/liberalism.

Holy shit I just hummed the theme song to that show and I barely remember the show's existence!

I've been incredibly intentional about maintaining my friendships from my high school years. It seems weird to do that, but for four years, I had at least 3-6 classes with the same 90 students despite my graduating class being about ~600ish students. I don't talk to ALL of them, but there are a dozen I'm in frequent

Damnit, that line made me laugh so much the first time I heard it. Now I'm just sad.

Born and raised in San Diego so I find it mind-blowing that "Now, hardly anybody has served, or even knows someone who has [served]" can even possibly be true. But you're probably right and my experiences probably out of the ordinary.

I clicked on @avclub-e129a878f7b0e5aa9ac09e0282f64ea6:disqus's profile and saw a comment mention (he/she?…. shit I know their age but not gender…) were born in 1989, making them 12 when 9/11 happened. I'm a year old and I was all for the war. I can only speak for myself, but at that age, I was an idiot who knew

The Locust is the only show I have every seen that left me incredibly unsettled for hours. An insane show.

Surprised there was no mention made of The Sounds of Animals Fighting.
"As if to doubly state the lack of consistency between albums, all members and guests in the band adopt animal names (and masks)— for example, Balling (of RX Bandits) is known as 'Nightingale'."
and
"supposedly Balling locked individual band members

Dear God… He's gone nu-metal.

What kind of bear is he? Because damnit, no matter how many times people say jungle bear, it doesn't make sense!

Yeah trying to get my MtG in this weekend alongside Relic Knights before the World Cup Final.

I'm not sure how many MtG players there are on here, but I'm going to my FLGS to play in the M15 prerelease. I love me some limited formats like Sealed and 2HG.
