Just because the number of people collecting unemployment is down doesn’t mean that employment is up, it can just mean that people timed out and are off the unemployment insurance and are now uncounted-unemployed people.

These figures are lagging indicators and the results of policies and actions that predate Trump and go back to the Obama admin.
