I completely agree about the Windwaker comment. It made me have flashbacks to when it first came out and having to have “arguments” that the Gamecube wasn’t a child’s console (i.e universal appeal, value of different art styles, gameplay, etc.).

This makes me feel a little bit better about myself. I am sure it is more down to the random people I was with, but I have found completing the first level (i.e. the boat) impossible. I always end up with people who die straight away as soon as they go back on the boat. At that point with several specials spawning and

What ad block do you use? Is it on mobile? I have been using the app and it is increasingly driving me mad (5 sec adverts have now become 15 sec minimum, multiple adverts in a video and before the video ends).

The opportunity for this is if it impacts YouTube algorithms. There are a range of videos that are terrible, but dislikes still count as engagement so they get promoted by the algorithm.

I almost did this last week after I got a terrible email from a colleague (after I was doing them a favour) and was writing a response, but it started with “Just to clarify...”

I decided to check it out and, if the website I was looking at was accurate, then the Pokemon series does sell at least over a million copies per game except for a handful of random spin offs. Whether that meets sales expectations wasn’t a point I was trying to make.

That’s it! I’m done. Star Trek for me officially ended with Enterprise.

Completely agree about Xbox Live Gold. While I am loving Gamepass (and being in a household with children means Cloud gaming is amazing) - I would have thought that pretty much everyone who owns an Xbox would have Gold?

Exactly, we are talking about a series where each game tends to make millions of dollars.

It’s strange because I thought this was a given, but it’s weird people having such fond memories of ME1. For me it was part of a series of games that were interesting and had potential to be an amazing game in its sequal and ME2 delivered. The other big one was Assassin’s Creed, but I would also count Titanfall, Witche

Normally, I would agree... but having bought BotW and Mario Kart 8 in Wii U...

You say that... but being the old fogey I am I remember back in the N64 days where Nintendo did a quick price cut shortly after release and to compensate people who bought it at launch they offered something for free (can’t remember what it is now).

That was my reaction! I would have also accepted Edea from FF8, but not to have Lulu.

It looks both better then I thought, but there are moments make me worry that its not going to live up to its ambitions (i.e. some stilted dialog, jarring CGI, at strange camera angles, etc.).

Completely agree. I missed out on Space Station Silicon Valley, but really liked Body Harvest at the time although from looking at clips online this does feel like rose tinted glasses.

That feels like a newsworthy point to include. Although it is a shame. I forgot about Penny Arcade until I started reading Sunday Comics and would then go to their site to see the other comics from the week.

Are you British Luke? You nailed everything perfectly!

Completely agree with everything you said (as someone who still has their original N64 and controllers). I remember being amazed that I could play some games one handed briefly when I just needed to move about with the analogue stick and trigger.

Game Pass is genuinely amazing. I have a rediculous offer where for a £1 they converted my Xbox Live subscription to Game Pass so I now have it until Sept 2022.

Reading the opening paragraph made me feel so old....
