Wow... Kotaku seems easily pleased. A new map and a new counsellor (and minor tweaks)... and it apparently feels like a new game? From an article title like that I expected a lot more.

I completely agree with you and I knew it from the first mobile phone card game I downloaded years ago that had loot boxes. I also despised DLC (especially for skins). While I will never do it I have have grown to accept paying money for DLC, etc. for specific items you want. What I cannot accept is paying money for

Finally finished Witcher 3. I have done all of the main and secondary quests. I still have the DLC, contracts and monster nests, etc. left, but I know if I play anymore of it I will become sick of it.

What’s crazy is that I have a fully functioning Snes from my childhood and I am still tempted to buy the Snes Classic (although a bit yellowed). Damn you Nintendo! Only if for the couple of games it has on that I never bought the first time round (and it is easier to set up).

Past few weekends and most likely many more to come will be Witcher 3. Annoyed at myself that I did not play this when it first came out. An amazing game.

Unless you are a big fan of Assassin’s Creed and have not yet become sick of Ubisoft open world games... I would give Syndicate a miss. It feels quite hollow. Nice setting, but it felt hollow to me in terms of character and story.

Jason I hate your obsession over this dungeon. Yes it is interesting, but it is not a good dungeon with too many gameplay problems (with jumping being one of them). It just feels like you are giving FFXV developers a reason to be produce poorly implemented gameplay mechanics and dungeon design. Zelda has great

‘The main story is told across ten thrilling episodes’... What? One of the worst FF storylines split into 10 episodes. At least they might be able to get away with the paper thin story on a mobile platform.

It should not be on the top of your list of games to play. While the interaction between the four characters are good do not expect anything that remotely resembles a coherent story or that is fleshed out (the ‘story’ is barely there). The side quests, NPCs are paper thin too. The best part of the game is walking

Definitely an overreaction! Is it a great trailer? No. But it is not as terrible as it was made out to be. Feels like click bate article title.

Having just played Tacoma, if you are a fan of the walking simulator genre and grounded Sci Fi then it is a great experience. For me it did feel like a significant leap from Gone Home and builds on Everybody’s Gone to Rapture, etc. While the key issue remains that your protagonist is an observer and not a participant

I hope there are story elements going into more detail about the Kingsglaive. They were one of the interesting parts of the film. In particular the tensions of the capital abandoning the poorer towns with the treaty and how it impacts morale and class.

Given that this type of genre of games have some key titles (ie. the walking simulator genre) with rich story telling and established mechanics - I’m surprised this review did not give more context around this (rather than mention Sleep No More). What I really want to know is if this game builds on the mechanics of

I always feel uncomfortable with articles like this where Kotaku basically re-writes someone else’s article adding very little to it. While it links the original and creates some traffic for the linked website, the reality is that only a very small proportion of readers would do this. Couldn’t this have been an

I really liked Rez, but maybe not as much as you. I had the same experience only twice. Doing time trials on Mario Kart on the SNES became almost spiritual when you almost stop thinking and everything becomes instinctual and reflex. Trying to better my time by milliseconds. I did not experience anything similar until

Finally! Finally! People who know my pain! At the time Jet Force Gemini was the only game I had not completed (minus bugged games on the C64). What annoyed me the most is that the game actually stated at the start of the gato not to worry about collecting them! I remember trying to do it in two levels then just gave

I already do all of the above as it seems common sense. As a result I can cope with the first day quite well following an all nighter. The problem I have is that even after a good night’s sleep I am a mess on the second day. No way near as articulate as I normally am. Does this happen to anyone else? Or does anyone

I decided to back it for $20 (any idea how much this is in £s?) and consider it a pre-order, which I have not done for a long time. Primarily because I just bought a PS3 recently to play the exclusives before going next gen and I would be annoyed with myself if I assumed the Kickstarter would succeed and it didn't

SPOILERS. I actually had a different response to you. You should correct your article to say that "Everyone underestimates me" was only one option you could choose. I chose something to the effect of "It's hard". It feels like everyone has forgotten that Clementine is a child except for Walter and Kenny, which is what

I'm normally okay for spoilers, but this took me by surprise even with the spoiler warning simply because that sentence served no purpose. It was not related to the point of the article and frankly was not even funny. It seemed like a pointless spoiler. I'm not really annoyed by it but I can understand why other
