Several people who live in NZ have let me know the “practice” of it, thanks! I was surprised the law still made it illegal, but I am glad the doctors are making smart choices about how to practice it. It would be detrimental to one’s mental health to carry a baby to term if you were dead set against having one.

I looked up NZ abortion laws. It’s only legal if the foetus is unviable or the health (mental or physical) of the mother is at risk. And it requires 2 doctor’s approvals. I did not expect that.

The main beef I have with RyanAir is you almost never fly into the “real” airport. Flying to Rome? Nope, godawful bus trip to get to actual Rome. Flying to Paris? nope long bus trip to get to actual Paris.

My doc talked to me about IUD. It is apparently safer for over 35 yr olds, as the hormone stay in the uterus (well not entirely, but they’re much more contained than with the pill) and it has been a game changer for my periods. My insurance covered the cost and it lasts for 5 years. Something to think about!
