I wish America would STOP calling it American cheese. It makes you all look terrible in the rest of the world where we call it what is is - Processed cheese. It is about as close to cheese as the cheapo hot-dogs are to steak. Stop!

To back up kcunnings point, it happens in my son’s school as well. And in our area of Canada, school lunches aren’t available to elementary students, so we all have to pack a lunch for the kids. One teacher sent me an angry message about the HOMEMADE banana bread I packed in his kindergarten snack. It wasn’t “healthy”

At least she gets the benefit of working different muscle groups by going backwards. (Trying to see the bright side!) Poor girl (I know, T-Swift is not a poor girl, but this sucks) I’m just glad she didn’t fall, the frenzy that would ensue would be even worse.

Several people who live in NZ have let me know the “practice” of it, thanks! I was surprised the law still made it illegal, but I am glad the doctors are making smart choices about how to practice it. It would be detrimental to one’s mental health to carry a baby to term if you were dead set against having one.

24 days is long. I applaud this guy for doing something to alleviate that.

Thanks! I was wondering if the law on the books was practiced with some leniency towards the mental health angle. It would be rather difficult, I imagine, in a small town to get around the 2 doctor rule, if there was only one practicing physician?

Question - as you seem to know more about NZ than I- is abortion still illegal there unless the health of the mother is at risk or the foetus is deemed unviable? I read that on Wikipedia but was surprised by that factoid.

I looked up NZ abortion laws. It’s only legal if the foetus is unviable or the health (mental or physical) of the mother is at risk. And it requires 2 doctor’s approvals. I did not expect that.

The main beef I have with RyanAir is you almost never fly into the “real” airport. Flying to Rome? Nope, godawful bus trip to get to actual Rome. Flying to Paris? nope long bus trip to get to actual Paris.

Ha! I am in Calgary! And to be fair, I lived in Edmonton for a while and I vastly prefer Calgary - the quick trips to the mountains are the whole reason we accepted job offers here. The sad face was mostly anywhere outside the Fraser Valley/Okanagan is a little too cold year round - but having a job vastly outweighs

Hahaha! Originally from the Okanagan, living in Alberta now. *sad face*

As someone from BC wine country - ours is better. ;)

The pendulum is swinging to “make up for” the long term negativity towrds larger body types. But the people who perpetuate the “real women have curves” etc forget that there are actual real women who don’t have curves and we hurt just as much when we are picked apart. Instead of bashing the “other” for being

Oh shit that is awful. I am so sorry you have that person still lingering in your life.

My husbands ex sent him an email (pre-facebook) congratulating him and the “I am sooo happy for you” He thought it was nice, I laughed knowing full well she was playing sad music and crying. (B/C I knew her before, and she was hella hung up on him)

I vote unnecessary.

It took me a couple of readings to figure out the relationship dynamic. I think she and her partner are a lesbian couple, who both happen to be transgender. Not “strange”, I imagine it is a rare pairing in Utah though. (I apologize to Utah-ians for my lack of knowledge of your demographics and making assumptions)

Are freestanding Taco Bell’s still around in the US? ours all closed down and can be found in conjunction with KFC store in some mall food court scenarios. I was so excited when Tac Bell came to Canada. And then I ate it and was disappointed. It didn’t stop me from going back again, and again, and again though. I am

My doc talked to me about IUD. It is apparently safer for over 35 yr olds, as the hormone stay in the uterus (well not entirely, but they’re much more contained than with the pill) and it has been a game changer for my periods. My insurance covered the cost and it lasts for 5 years. Something to think about!

We all need to talk more about it! I thought I was alone in my disastrous heavy bleeding, and mentioned it to girlfriends and it seems like the light flow gals are in the minority, especially after having kids. I hope you are on track to feeling in control!
