We have the same fantasy.

I won’t use anything less than 0.7mm. I love a thick line.

I work Downtown Calgary, within 3 minutes walk from my office, there are no less than 4 Starbucks. It’s insane. I came here from Edmonton, where Tim Horton’s is even more ubiquitous.

My friend got that a lot when he was a sahd - in 2007! People are weird.

I stayed home for 11 years. It was great. I am back at work now, and get to have those chats with the other working moms. I don’t see my “stay-at-home-mom” friends ever. I don’t know if it’s a because they do almost all of their socializing M-F during the day, or if they cut me out. My friends who worked while I was

The numbers are kind of iffy. I read an Irish Times article that said a lot of the ‘no” supporters are polling as ‘undecided’ because they don’t want to be public about their vote. Fingers crossed!

OMG, was it 1945?

Waht about that time we tried to have an Asian-looking woman represent scientists inthe bills and everyone was ll “no way! that’s racist and we had to change the appearance of the woman on the bill? Canada, we’re so fucked up.

Ahhh, I knew there had been mention of a Circus. Is it weird that I know the theoretical wedding plans of a couple I have never met IRL? I feel like I read so much of Mark’s work that I know all these little tidbits. I need to get out more.

We used to fly 3-4 times a year between Western Canada and London, Heathrow (so only about 9 hours flight), when my son was between 0-4 yrs. The other two have gone transatlantic a couple of times, between the ages of 1-7. And yes, when they are just learning to walk they don’t necessarily “want” to stay seated, but

Maybe this sting inspired the Red Wedding - it happened in 1990, and he wrote the series in 1991...

I thought it was a French Circus theme? I am so confused.

I agree. I think this is a case of “look at that bitch over there eating crackers.”

I replied to another person re: this. I have flown transatlantic with the kids, and we do remain seated and buckled most of the time. I should have clarified - seatbelts are fastened the entire time we are seated. We do make quick trips to the lav to pee, of course. And the other poster asked about poop- we have been

From what I recall the FAA and TC have the same guidelines for this, but we didn’t spend a ton of time on FAA regs in training. The EASA (europe, formerly JAA) have different guidelines though, or at least they did when I was working.

I guess we’ve been lucky? They’ve made trans-Atlantic trips and YVR-Maui a few times as well as shorter trips and no one has had to poop. We go before we get on the plane, and I guess we have super bowels? And I should have clarified- at all times while seated. I have made quick trips to the lav with them to pee.

Which airline? I have read this a couple of times, but the airline I worked for followed Transport Canada guidelines and the protocol was to hold the infant in a modified brace position.

Yeah it is, for infants and children under 2 years of age.

Awwww. That sucks. Poo accidents when traveling are THE WORST. poor kiddo.

You’re right, but you also have to think about unexpected turbulence. Not that I disagree with letting the kid hang out there, she looks happy and comfy and that’s ideal. But as a former FA, I won’t let my kids fly without being buckled in at all times, I have seen some terrible injuries due to unexpected turbulence,
