This Camaro driver approves of this post

This. So much this.

I agree. I understand that we have to write headlines in hyperboles these days to get any attention, but the correct hot take is that it looks like ass, especially compared to other Mazdas. It definitely isn’t good looking. At most, it's meh.

Back up like a Countach” would be a guaranteed #1 smash hip hop hit. I can already hear it in my head.

I don’t understand the love this thing is getting. The Mazda CX-5? Great. The Miata? Outstanding.

Bless your heart for thinking people actually bother looking back these days.

For people who didn’t get the reference, here’s how you back up a Countach.

So .... pimptastic porthole windows?

How does this push button shifter not save space? It’s literally the most space efficient shifter I’ve ever seen.

And I’ve used a modern push button shifter in a Lincoln. It’s fine. It’s an automatic after all. It’s not like you are stabbing buttons constantly.

Cadillac’s answer? A FWD XT6, probably only available with a 230 hp 2.0T and 310 hp V6.

Musk is the type of person who just speaks his mind. He doesn’t follow a script.

Their clientelle outside the WRX/STi just doesn’t care. Because “Symmetrical” AWD, Safety, Utility, outdoorsy Granola, Dogs and Love something.

/winks at outdoorsy women from the Pacific Northwest.

The C&D time is one of the fastest tested times that too. Other publications/Youtube reviewers get 10+ seconds on a good day on the regular one.

As another owner of a CX-5... have you driven the Crosstrek?  It is on another level. Plus I cannot get over how cheap the car felt and combine that with $34k to start!? Of course... I’m sure they’ll sell.

Passing the ridiculously slow drivers in the mountains in the NW. Merging into traffic easily. Being able to hustle up the hill to ski with four friends on board at high elevation.

They’re happy to let everyone go with that flow as they invariably wallow in the left lane.

Which Car And Driver previously tested to be around 9.2 seconds.

Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid: Because we know our customers and they’re not you fuckers. /Points to people wanting a BRZ STI

When your product is primarily going to spend its time stuck behind a Vanagon with a bunch of bikes on the back slowly chugging up a hill in Boulder/Portland/San Francisco, how much power does it really need?
