But you can't leave, you gave me my star!

Why not just start a new Star Trek series. Since we're all used to reruns of TNG, Voyager, and DS9 the tech to design those shows should work. That'd cut down CG costs well, I'd think.

@evildead1971: Yeah. The guy can't just have a hot chick friend, she's got to be the main character.

So...when does the fly genocide begin?

@nctrns: Ehh...it keeps Farscape 'in the conversation' to use it. I mean, it sucks that there's not likely to be Farscape news/spoilers for a long time. But that people still reference it probably makes it more likely that we'll see new shows/movies in the future.

What does this have to do with farscape?

Couldn't that be used to create a "different" type of solar sail?

@tomsomething: Can you get the numbers on that? I should do that some day, but I'm not currently in the market.

@tomsomething: Kind of hard to call it a good deal when the 32" LG is $300 cheaper (almost half the price of the 40").

@wagnerrp: Hmm...if someone wanted to be on the 'safe side', couldn't they construct a faraday cage in their bedroom?

@mkirkland: I think you lack perspective on that which you speak.

@corpore-metal: For most crimes it's overkill. But who wouldn't love to see a megabot take out a drug cartel? There are some very violent criminals out there.

@tgent13: Hmm, it's been a while since my programming days, but the controller is only used to control the LEDs, right? i.e. Some basic electronics knowledge, resisters, and LEDs should get most of the job done.

It's thinkgeek so it'll be over priced for some time to come :/

"we may already have picked up some alien communications via a radio source that seems to be broadcasting in a 77 minute cycle"

I can't wait until those Wicked Lasers guys release an "updated version".

@tomsomething: The crux is conservation of energy. The major problem is inefficiency of converting mechanical energy (water pressure) to electrical energy. What ever energy the generator siphons off from the water main will be more than the electrical energy it provides you with.

Call me when I hook the guy up to my faucet and plug my laptop into it.

@cafields: haha Because everyone wants to have diH2O just sitting around, doing nothing.

@tomsomething: The water pressure into your house is all the water pressure you're going to get. If there's a syphon in the main waterline to your house, then your water pressure will decrease. Every faucet will pour water much more slowly. Ever taken a "low-flow" shower?
