Also going to agree with Paulie. Stock Android has been pretty stable since ICS. I can honestly say the Music app on my iPad crashed far more often than any stock Android app.

That's a very common argument (and absolutely valid). My only rebuttal to it would be to tell you to give a Nexus device a shot. Most (all) of the shitty design decisions and weirdness (ie. bad or inconsistent design, clutter, etc...) are the result of horrifying third party skins on top of stock Android.
